ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INTERNATIONALIZATION AGENDA

The Faculty of Business Management is embarking on a more aggressive internationalization agenda so that the faculty and UiTM can benefit from the international linkages generated with foreign universities and industries. 

 

Discussion with Mr Andrew Paltridge


Recently, the management of the faculty had a discussion with Mr Andrew Paltridge, who is the Director, International, from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. The Queensland University of Technology is a highly ranked business research university in Australia. It is triple accredited by AACSB, Equis and Association of MBAs. In addition, it is a research-intensive university, focusing on areas such as, among many others, economics, finance, and entrepreneurship. It is hoped that with this meeting, the faculty will be able to collaborate with QUT and learn what it takes to become a leading research faculty, thus paving the way for UiTM to be a research -intensive institution. The faculty also hopes to develop close ties with QUT Business School in student exchange, joint PhD supervision, cohort PhD, and joint research programs.



 

Discussion with Mr Fred Ko You Sing


On 29th March 2013, the faculty had a discussion with Mr Fred Ko You Sing who is the Adjunct Professor of Management and IMBA Program Director from the Graduate School of Management of Communication University of China in Beijing. Mr Ko was accompanied by Mr Por Yew Guan who is the Regional Representative (Malaysia & Singapore) from the same institution. The Dean of FBM, Professor Dr Faridah Hj Hassan, led the discussion together with the management team from FBM, IBE and also AAGBS. The discussion ended on a high note where both parties agreed on collaborations such as student exchange, short courses, staff exchange, entrepreneurship and joint research.
